Reasonable prices (Soft pretzels $2.75, Chicken tenders/fries $5.00, Hot dogs $, Gatorade $3.00). Very little variety of concessions if you are looking for something unique and different, but it suited my needs just fine.
Parking:
Parking- $5.00
Seating/Stadium Design:
Richmond County Bank Ballpark is located adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry terminal in Staten Island, NY. The New York City skyline comprises the picturesque backdrop. There is one level of seating which contains box seats and reserved seats. Seats are the blue fold-down variety with cupholders. The seats are steep, which allows for a good view of the field. A kids play area is located behind the left field wall. The team store is located at the entrance to the ballpark. The store is rather small compared to others that I have been seen. The "Pinstripe Pavillion" is located in the left field corner of the park. This area contains a picnic area for fans who have purchased an "all-you-can-eat" plan.
If it wasn't for the concourse area along the 1B side, I would have given this park 4 stars instead of 3 and a half.
Atmosphere/Character:
The atmosphere at Richmond County Bank Ballpark is so much better than it is at nearby KeySpan Park. The fans are much more laid back and it is a stress free place to watch a game. Everything done at Richmond County Bank Ballpark is done with class.
Recognition of Team's History and/or MLB Affiliate:
Posters honoring former Yankees greats such as Lou Gehrig, Thurman Munson, and Mickey Mantle are displayed throughout the concourse area.
Origin of Team's Name:
The name comes from Staten Island's Major League affiliate, the New York Yankees.
