Field:

Surface:  Natural Grass
Capacity: 4500
Dimensions: LF- 325  CF- 400  RF- 325
Stadium Opened: 2002

Food:

  • Quality food at cheap prices
  • Hot dogs- $2.00, bottled soda or water- $2.50, chicken tenders, Philly Cheese Steak, Chicken Speidies, Butterned potatos, pizza, and fried dough.

Stadium Design/Seating:

  • 10 luxury suites
  • Picnic area
  • Lawn seating
  • inflatable play area for kids
  • seating bowl extends all the way down the base lines so that fans are closer to the field, but this makes for poor sightlines since the seats are not steep enough

Parking:

  • Parking was free.  The stadium is located on the campus of the Hudson Valley Community College.  The ballpark is a shared entity, owned by the city of Troy.

Atmosphere/Character:

The stadium has a very wide concourse area which gives the stadium an open air feel.  This allows for the opportunity for standing room only, since this team usually draws a large crowd.  The crowd was laid back, but into the game.  There were the usual in between innings contests, including the “T-Shirt Toss”.  Since the stadium is a shared entity with the college and the Valley Cats, there are less billboards in the outfield and the stadium looks a lot classier than some other Single A stadiums.  Every seat is close to the field since there are only about 14 rows of seating.

"Sammy", dressed as Uncle Sam, tries to get the crowd into the game. "Southpaw" is the team's mascot. Overall, Bruno Stadium is a nice, laid back place to watch a ballgame.
